Garbage Truck Cake

This was a really cool cake to make. It was for a 40th birthday and he works for this Waste Management company. It is all edible and all cake. I received several texts to let me know it was a hit at the party.

Minnie Cake

This cake was done for a Principal of a middle school who was retiring to stay home with her children. So, the object of the cake was some of her favorite things. Her family was taking her to Disney World so they definitely wanted that to be a good part of the cake. Other favorite things are the beach, flip flops and Dr. Pepper....sounds like my kind of lady!!!

This was such a last minute cake and I'm talking very last minute. A friend called me at 6:30 one evening and needed it later that night so I delivered the cake at 11:30. Turned out fairly well for not putting much thought into it....

This cake was for a very sweet 7 year old. One of my favorite girls....I decided to make her a gift cake with a big bow on it. Only specifications were pink and brown with polka dots....she loved it!!!!

This last cake is actually a cupcake cake for a soccer team's end of year party.

Graduation Day!!

This was for a preschool graduation.

Wizards of Waverly Place

I loved working on this cake. Every year I get a challenge for sweet little Savannah's cake and I love every minute of it. This year she wanted something to do with Wizards of Waverly Place. Between her mom and I we came up with this.

The Texas heat started to settle in. You can see the fondant just melting off the cake. Hate it when that happens, but not too much I can do about that in 90 degree Texas heat. It did hold up until the cutting of the cake, though, thank goodness!

Birthday Cakes

Leann's 30th birthday!!

Adam wanted a flaming cake so he got a flaming cake!!

Ripstick Cake

This is my son's birthday cake. It is a replica or my version of his Ripstick. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's like a skateboard with only one wheel on each end. Everything is edible except the circular piece in the middle and it is covered with my new fondant. It's much better than the traditional fondant everyone is used to. Anyway, he loved it and so did the rest of the kids.

Baby Shower Cakes

Ok, so a friend of mine needed help making a pregnant belly cake this weekend for a baby shower. We had so much fun playing with this one. I have done a mini version you'll see down below, but not one this large. We shared a bottle of wine and our creativity came alive. We were both very pleased with the end result and the mommy-to-be was very, very happy with it, too. Below are other baby shower cakes and cupcakes I've done in the past. Hope you like them!!!

First attempt at the Pregnant Belly cupcakes. Very happy with these!!

More Princess Cakes

This cake was made for my daughter on her 6th birthday. The tiara, wand and jewelry are made of white chocolate candy.

I loved making this cake! I did it a couple of years ago for a little girl who was having a Princess party. Her mom had seen a picture of a similar cake and had asked me if I thought I could make it. This cake overall took three days and the payoff was wonderful when Savannah saw her cake. Her eyes lit up and was very excited about it.

Princess Cake

My first cake of 2010 was for a sweet little girl turning five. She loves the Disney Princesses and the color Pink. Once I decided how to create this cake, I got started by making the heart accents first and then the turret's. When the cakes were baked I layered and iced the cakes and started putting on all the accents. This was a fun cake to make and overall took over two days to complete because of the royal icing and fondant decorations. I received a message from Mom who said Natalie really liked her cake.
